You know when your trying to figure out a nice Summer starter for a dinner party and jut not sure what to do. I love seafood and I don’t think we eat half enough of it so here’s what I’m calling my Seafood Summer Tapas and a chance to load up on the Omega-3’s. This is one I put together recently. But I wanted something that was (a) easy and (b) quick. So you mightn’t have time to make something from scratch but if you can present it nicely then you’ve pulled it off 🙂 Apart from the mayo this is also a nice healthy option.
This Seafood Summer Tapas is great as a starter or when you just have friends around for a few casual drinks and looking for some nice nibbles to munch on and soak up the alcohol or even if your at home sitting outside on a long Summer’s evening with a few cold beers.
Smoked Mackerel Pate (recipe here)
Dill & Garlic Mayo – mayonnaise with 1 large finely chopped garlic clove and chopped dill
Lemons & Limes
Place crab claws and salmon on a chopping board
Load the smoked mackerel pate into pretty little dishes (because it tastes better in a pretty bowl :)))
On another chopping board I loaded it up with Italian Ciappe Flatbreads and Multi Seed Rye Crackers, a bowl of lemon and lime wedges an some Dill and Garlic mayonnaise and also put this into some cute little bowls.
