Stumbled on this independent online retailer on Instagram and then ended up on their website reesandhunt.ie where I found this fantabulous Magazine Rack. Okay I don’t know about you but it’s such a thrill when you find exactly what you’ve been looking for and this was it – score. Plus it’s only €30. This is one of those definite must have accessories that your home will love. It’s exactly as described on the website ‘possibly the coolest way to store and display your magazines’. I totally agree.
I’m telling you – get yourself out there and get trawling those charity shops. They are filled with treasures. So this was one I picked up at a charity shop in Norway while we were there this Summer on holidays. I only bagged this for the grand total of €2. Yes I did say €2 – bargain of the year.
I’m working on a customer project renovating an understairs toilet and we’ve sorted the tiles, wallpaper, paint colour and mirror and now it’s on to the best part – sourcing the accessories. Like I always advise my customers – ‘it’s all in the detail’ and it’s this detail that helps to pull the whole look together. So I was out and about in town and popped into one of my favourite shops – Industry and Co. It’s full of beautiful pieces that are curated to within an inch of their lives. I spotted these 2 beautiful pieces (toilet roll and towel holder) that were perfect for this project – they’re sleek, well designed pieces and would beat the regular run of the mill chrome fittings hands down – in fact there’s no comparison really. Get yourself into this store, grab a coffee because they have a Cafe attached to the store (with middle eastern style food and sweet treats) and have a browse around this inspiration filled store with practical but beautiful, unique and quirky furniture and home accessories. You can find them online here.
Well when I heard that The White Company were coming to Grafton Street I was a very happy gal. It was one of those shops I loved to go when I was in the UK. You can find a review of my visit here. I popped in last week and just in front of the entrance was this beautiful display of candles, diffusers and room sprays in an Autumn scent. Well I just lovvvve my scented candles and I have to say this is one you can’t pass up on. It’s a combination of pear, quince and apricot blended with musk and amber and smells absolutely divine.
Mokum Interiors are located on 60 Camden Street and sitting in this store on the mantlepiece of a fireplace was this little elephant. Come on how great is this? I’m a firm believer that we should have some very quirky and fun pieces in our homes and this piece is exactly that. It’s a plant holder and the beauty of this is it can be placed on a shelf/ledge or wall mounted and it’s €69. This is a cool buy that would make a great gift or a beautiful fun piece for your home.
